Rolling Down the Highway!

As some of you may know before we left for furlough this past May we were thinking about and praying about whether we should try and raise money for a vehicle.  With the classes that I am taking as I work towards ordination, I often need a vehicle to get to class.  Not knowing what may take place in the future once my classes are complete and other thoughts went into the debate as to own or not to own, this was the question.   So when we left for our home assignment we left it in the Lord's hands as to what direction we would go.  We knew that to purchase a vehicle we would need to raise a certain amount of money, which would be greater than we have raised in past home assignments.  Saying that means only one thing, it was definitely up to the Lord if this was to happen.   Since you see the pictures you know the Lord worked a miracle and a miracle is the only way to state what took place.  God used 4 different people to raise the money needed to purchase this vehicle.  When it was all said and done we had actually raised a bit more than what we had thought we would need to purchase a vehicle. God is good!  Because of the way he worked in this situation, it does make me wonder what he has in store for this vehicle.
Now for the car guys, or ladies too, here are some details.  This is a Nissan Patrol. It is a previously owned vehicle.  Ithas a 4.2 liter diesel engine.  It is a 5 speed 4X4. It seats 8 comfortably but in a pinch could go 10.  So we have some room when parents, family and friends visit.  Also more room in which to take friends with us to a bush church.  It does have A/C and a CD player (with great sound I might add.)  The Lord has been in this process the whole way and the guys at Boroko Motors that I have been dealing with have been very professional.  A neat experience that I had was the first day I went to look at this vehicle.  As I was leaving I asked Joe Unagi (My salesman) if I could pray with him, he said yes and so I did.  When I said, "Amen," he said let me pray for you and he did.  I knew by the way he prayed that he knew the Lord.  So when he finished I asked him if he was a Christian and he said, "yes" and he is a part of the Wesleyan church that is near us.  All along the way God has been involved in this adventure.  God is good!   Thanks so much to those who contributed both financially and in prayer!
