James chapter 4 verse 2b says, "... yet ye have not, because ye ask not." KJV. The Melanesia Nazarene Bible College under the direction of Dr. Geneva Silvernail, has started a Masters Program at MNBC. This program is for our Nazarene Nationals, who are in full time ministry who have an undergraduate degree. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Nationals to further their education. Some of the 18 candidates are full time pastors, some of them are MNBC Faculty. Pastor Daniel, our Director of Radio Ministry, is also a part of this program. Our Nationals are very hungry for further education and for the opportunity to build upon their education so that they may better serve their church and become better leaders. Several of our Nazarene Universities and Seminaries are helping by offering course work and by providing instructors. The professors involved all hold doctorates. They have also helped us by reducing the cost of this education greatly. For this 2 year modular program the cost for each participant will be $847 not including graduation fee and the cost of books. Although this is a great price for our Nationals to receive a Masters degree, by PNG standards it is still reaching for the moon to come up with this tuition. That is why MNBC and Dr. Silvernail have started a scholarship program to help our Graduate students receive this education.
I am bringing this need before you. James says "Ye have not, because ye ask not." The NIV says, "You do not have, because you do not ask God." Our God is great and we do lay this need before Him. Should the Lord want to bless your life by asking you to be a part of the Masters Program for our PNG National brothers and sisters, we and they want you to know that your sacrifice will be greatly appreciated. If the Lord leads you to give, you can send your gift to:

you can mark it, Myers Work Of Funds; MNBC Masters Scholarship Program.
Whether you are able to give or not, please lift us and this program up before the Lord in prayer, that He will lead, guide and direct this great endeavor! Thank you!
